Kitchen Set: It's Reveal Time

The day has arrived.  The kitchen set is finished!  It is sporting a fresh new color and style.  Paint color is "Languid Blue" by Sherwin Williams, and the fabric is from JoAnn Fabrics.  After several sandings, two layers of primer, three coats of paint, and two polycrylic protective layers, the set is ready to go.  I really love how it turned out.

Below is what the set looked like before the make-over.  I am anxious to see how it will look in its owner home.  What I'm most happy about with this project is that Sam, the owner, took a step outside her comfort zone and chose color!  I am so glad I was able to help her take that step and I know she will be happy with her decision.

Sam had also asked me if I could help her with her living room styling. My answer:  "When can we start?"    Painting and re-finishing a piece is so fulfilling.....enhancing that new piece with a fresh new room?  Well that's even better.   I have some great ideas for Sam....not necessarily packed with color like her new kitchen set, but perhaps with a neutral backdrop that will help showcase other decor in the space.

Enough chatter and on to the after photo....here is Sam's new kitchen set:

It doesn't look like the same set!   Planning to schedule another home visit with Sam to share styling and color ideas, now that she has a new table/chair set...and new cabinetry on the way....she is ready to take her space to the next level!

I feel like a broken record, but I mean this with the deepest sincerity.....I thoroughly enjoyed working on this project and seeing Sam's reaction the day she picked it up!    I can't wait to get working on her living room and kitchen space now!

Have you been following the kitchen set series?  If so, what did you like best about it?  How do you think it turned out?   I'd love to hear from you!

I'm off to Sherwin Williams for the next paint color on the agenda.....

"Little Desk Big Statement " ....Stay tuned for that post coming this week.  It's going to be a fun week ahead!

Happy Monday and happy decorating!
