Get inspired with these 7 ways to decorate with green

I love March.  It means warmer days are ahead, well, almost.  It also means GREEN in celebration of St. Patrick's Day!  I'm not talking about green beer though.  I'm talking about decorating with green!   Today I'm sharing some inspiration I found while browsing Pinterest.

Using green at home: 7 ways

1. THE FRONT DOOR

One way to go bold with green is to paint the front door.  Doesn't this picture just get you in the mood to do something fun to your door this spring?  Green is a great choice.

2. FURNITURE

If you have followed Novo Decor for any length of time, then you know it is no stranger to boldly painted furniture.  This dresser caught my eye. I love the rich emerald green color, and the texture of this piece!

3. KITCHEN DECOR

Collections of pottery or kitchen ware that share a common color are gorgeous when displayed together. Instead of scattering your items around the house, display them together for more impact. This collection of green pottery and kitchen ware is easy on the eye.  Don't you think?

4. WALLS

Painting the walls green is gutsier than a collection of green pottery, or a green door,  but this particular green paired with the white trim and the art work?  Well done!  It almost makes me want to try a green wall now!

5. BOOKS BOOKS AND MORE BOOKS

Decorating with books is a favorite of mine. Books are so versatile. They provide great texture and are handy for varying the heights of your decor and accessories.  This collection of books is full of green and blue; a great color combination any time of year.

6. PILLOWS

You can't go wrong with decorative pillows.  They are easy to change and they are temporary! If you're thinking of trying green in 2017, start with pillows.  Any and all greens are welcome on pillows!

7. ARTIFICIAL or REAL FRUIT

A bowl of green apples or pears provides a beautiful way to adorn your dinner table, coffee table, bedside table, or mantle.  I especially love the mixture of rich lime-y greens and "apple" greens in this arrangement. Fresh. Beautiful.  And of course, green!

A glimpse of green at Novo Decor

Incorporating green can be as simple as a sprinkling of greenery throughout the house...like these cute hex shelves I found on Etsy. I ordered them in unfinished pine wood. Then I painted the outer side a bright and bold chartreuse green....

A few years ago I painted this hutch…..and still use it for my supplies. I do like to think that somewhere out there is a lime green lover…who would love a hutch like this one…..

How about wall decor?  Below, check out this pop of "chartreuse" green on the wall....and see more pops of green in the full room reveal here:

Bring the outside in, with green!  You can't go wrong!  Any plant will get the job done....

We won't go as far as the Tree of Life in the house, but you get the idea.....

Go green in 2019, and not just with your beer, or your earth-friendly products and re-cycling efforts!   Go green with your decorating and have fun doing it!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!!!
