Home Consultation: Check. Now what?

Good morning and happy Monday!  In celebration of spring (or at least one step closer!), I offered free consultations during the month of April. (If you missed this offer, there will be more like it!)

So, when would a home consultation be appropriate for you, a homeowner?  Today's post highlights the rationale and process of the home consultation.

Why a home consultation?

As home-owners, we know all too well that our homes are a constant work in progress. It seems there is always something to be done.   Here are some common scenarios that have prompted other home-owners just like you, to take action and schedule their home consultation:

1.  You have a piece of furniture in need of an update and want it painted.

What the consultation can do:  Provide you with an estimate, and /or suggestions for your piece.

2.  You'd like a family heirloom or meaningful piece of furniture you own, painted.  In addition to full painting,  I also provide special painting services, like pattern design and painting onto your piece.

What the consultation can do:

  • Provide ideas, and/or an estimate

3.  You have a room that is difficult to arrange, decorate, or you simply desire a change.  You want support in the form of ideas and recommendations.

What the consultation can do:

  • Provide a room plan, including recommended pieces/accessories, and lay-out
  • Provide a sourcing guide/photos for furniture/accessories

4.  You are interested in my room decorating service and would like a room make-over, or partial make-over.   In this scenario, you lack the time or "know-how" to do it yourself, and wish to receive a full room design and decorating service.

What the consultation can do:

  • Provide estimate for your room
  • Provide room plan, including recommended pieces/accessories, and lay-out
  • Full room installation is included when you book my partial or full room package (see this link for more details: www.novodecorco.com/services

When do I get an estimate, and/or the sourcing guide/idea list?

An estimate, sourcing guide, and idea list will be emailed to you one week following our consultation.   If you choose a partial or full-room design package, I typically return to your home a second time to take measurements, and finalize the room plan.

What is your consultation fee?

My home consultation fee is $40.  Typically home visits are completed within one hour, depending on your needs.

Regardless of which scenario above you relate to most, you'll receive quality customer service and true passion for helping you re-create a room you really love.  It's time to showcase your personality and personal style in your furniture and decorating.   I'll help you get there!

Have a great week!
