I've been gearing up for the opening of my on-line shop! If I don't encounter some unforeseen technological challenge, opening date is planned for Monday, February 29, 2016! In today's post I'm sharing a look at some pieces that are ready to go! If you'd like to see the pieces "live", I'm happy to have you stop in for a visit to the "workshop" (Lol).
Spring seems like a long ways away, but it will be here before we know it. And, it's a great time to think about our living spaces. What can we do to get rid of the winter blahs and add some "spring" to our spaces? I've got a few ideas to cure those winter blahs and get your Spring on! From my bold accent tables and chairs, to larger pieces like hutches and desks......I think you'll find a way to add a little zing to your Spring. So let's get right to it.....
CHEST: This chest was painted in a custom mixed teal chalk paint. The chest has a wax finish for surface protection, and is distressed in all the right places! It would be great under a large window, at the foot of a bed, or behind a couch: (basket of pears not included!)
HUTCH: This piece was in excellent condition even before I got my hands on it! It is painted in a neutral creamy chalk paint, with a striking orange "back splash". The drawers are lined with decorative contact paper. Hardware is a worn bronze. The original wood finish around the glass doors adds nice contrast to this painted piece. A timeless look for any space.
ACCENT TABLE: A fun table for that bare nook you've been looking to fill. Small accent pieces are a great way to add a punch of color to any room. The fabric-lined drawer and cute glass nob give this table personality. Add some fun to your spring decor with this chic blue table!
SIDE TABLE: This piece is suited for any room in the house. Its surface was re-stained in a rich, dark walnut hue, and painted in a subtle blue/gray chalk paint. I love the combination of dark wood and paint.
I have several unfinished pieces as well.........
DESK: I have a mid-century modern style desk which I haven't touched yet. It has great potential for non-traditional use. Using pieces in non-traditional ways is an effective way to add "spunk" to your space! This is a smaller size desk, which makes it a versatile piece. At one point I considered keeping it and using it as a "make-up" station/vanity. Then reality kicked in when I looked around our little green ranch.....there's just no room to keep it! COFFEE TABLE: A round, "lounge" style mid-century modern table with metallic gold legs. This table is currently morphing into a sleek, glossy white finish....and would look dynamite over an area rug, or hard wood. If you are a gold-lover like me, this might be the piece for you! The completed piece will be showcased in my on-line shop.
HUTCH: A medium size mid-century modern hutch with three shelves and glass doors for displaying your favorite decor. This hutch will be finished in glossy white (popular demand!) with a bold, lined backing. If you'd like to see this piece, just click below and I'll send you a picture...
And that is your preview....for now! I will be adding additional pieces to my on-line shop as they are completed. For your convenience, I'll also be posting updates on Instagram and Facebook when new pieces are ready!
